So this week we are starting our series called Loud Mouth. It is so fun and is gonna be so fun during the next couple of weeks.

This week we learned that one of the most beautiful and dangerous abilities we have is the ability to talk. We have the ability to destroy or build with our words. We can all recall a time when someone said something to really hurt us and those words have stuck with us. We can also recall a time when we were built up, when we were encouraged by something that someone said about us.

With our words we can find a peaceful life, no drama, no tension because maybe you said something you shouldn't have. You should choose your words carefully. Most of the time if you want to be heard you need to be the one that says the least. How about it are you a loud mouth? what about 5:4 how is it going?

  1. I think it's really hard to be aware of everything we say. Our society is so fast-paced that we think we need to be responding quickly to people. Most of the time we don't take the few seconds extra to think before we respond. And what about this... what if we even went as far as praying before we responded to someone, to see if God's trying to tell us that this is an opportunity that He's placed for us. If we don't take time to wait, I feel we miss out, on some great opportunities that God has for us. If we thought about what we are going to say, we could use our words to be more uplifting and for God's glory.

  2. sometimes it's really hard to know what to say in a given situation because the words you say may mean something completely different to the person your talking to. Talking to others is the easyiest way to ruin someones day. It only takes a moment to say something hateful, and a long time to repair it.
